Another wonderful afternoon

bridgervert.jpg

This afternoon, non-birding Vida and I went for a short jaunt up to the top of Springhill to quick at the sweeping views of the Gallatin Valley. The light was great and the photo ops were abundant. Warning the panos are very large, but worth it.

It was a day of many firsts of the year, including Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Marbled Godwit, Willet, and many others. Full …

splash02.jpg

By far, my favorite month is May with its warming temperature, flush of green growth, and the flood of migrant birds. This morning the air is chilly but the sun is intense and warm against my back. The light was perfect for capturing motion, and there was plenty as luck would have it.
