The intensity of light

With each passing day the intensity of the sun increases and comes earlier in the morning. On the ponds, most of the waterfowl have blown out with the mild weather, leaving behind the breeding pairs of teals and other ducks. A lone Western Grebe continues its stay on the pond nearest to the Frontage Road. …

My favorite month – Happy May Day

By far, my favorite month is May with its warming temperature, flush of green growth, and the flood of migrant birds. This morning the air is chilly but the sun is intense and warm against my back. The light was perfect for capturing motion, and there was plenty as luck would have it.
