This afternoon, non-birding Vida and I went for a short jaunt up to the top of Springhill to quick at the sweeping views of the Gallatin Valley. The light was great and the photo ops were abundant. Warning the panos are very large, but worth it.
It’s nice to find a cooperative Swainson’s Hawk, especially the first one of the year. The topper was to hear this hawk call…man, oh man, did I miss that haunting cry.
